Mothering Sunday lunch Sunday 11th March 2018

Treat your Mum to a special lunch this Mothering Sunday,  and join us for a delicious lunch, and there is a free bunch of daffodils for every Mum.

Greeting from the New Forest!

Happy New Year, and thank you to all our lovely guests and staff that made our 2017 so special. We wish you all health and happiness and of course great travel adventures for 2018!!!

 

We are all recovering with a few quiet weeks approaching at the hotel, after a busy December. We started the month with a wonderful winter wedding- congratulations 🙂 we then followed up by 3 very fabulous party nights, which had a great 3 course meal and dancing into the night with the DJ playing the cheesiest tunes! Festive afternoon teas and lunches kept us nice and busy.

We celebrated Christmas with our 3 day package, and had great fun with the Christmas quiz and at the panto – snow white and the 7 dwarves at the mayflower was the perfect afternoon. Then lots more eating, and then a little bit more food. The diet starts this week!!!

Our New Year’s Eve gala dinner also was a success with happy guests and great food, and the singer was totally amazing.  She hit the right notes, tone and the dance floor was busy all night. A super way to bring in 2018.

The weather on the other hand has not been that great, and the forest is rather wet at the moment, as where the rest of the country is bathed in a blanket of snow we have been plagued with heavy rain, so I hope that this dries up quickly so we can get back out walking. Some of our guests though have continued walking and cycling through the forest and definitely have my admiration…. Bring on the spring!!
