We don’t have bikes to hire at the moment but you can hire bikes locally and we would advise booking in advance during busy periods.
4 of us stayed for two nights to celebrate my Brothers birthday. Decided to upgrade our rooms and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived by attentive but not intrusive staff. The food we were served was lovely, well presented and tasted as good as it looked.Nick W- July 20

My wife and I had a most enjoyable two night stay at the Woodlands Lodge, the staff were professional and helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable, even with the difficulties of the covid problems which they managed admirably !Michael G - July 20
We will certainly be back for another stay in your beautifully located dog friendly hotel in the very near future.
Best regards Michael and Carla Gullen and "Tara the dog."
Stayed here for a weekend with my wife, staff were incredible and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Food was amazing (we had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner) and the menu had plenty to choose from. Our room was in the eaves of the building and again couldn't have been better, great size well furnished with a view out onto the gardens. The hotel grounds are perfect for sitting down with a drink and relaxing. Will definitely be coming back!Matt H - Jul 20
I’ve just returned from another lovely trip to Woodlands Lodge. I was a bit apprehensive about going out again but I need not have been. The hotel was perfect, clean and safe. All the precautions were in place and yet the staff were still able to be friendly and helpful. There was a happy relaxed atmosphere. The garden looked beautiful and was very peaceful. The online check in and out was very good. No bottlenecks at reception. I always like a tea in the morning whereas they have had to remove the tea and coffee all you have to do is askWake2013- Jul 20
We had sole use of this hotel (Friday - Sunday morning) for our wedding back in September. I cannot praise the staff (esp Imogene and the young Irish guy and his magic tricks!) venue enough. Imogene answered my many many many questions in the build up to the wedding, nothing was too much trouble and we were able to pop to the venue several times before the wedding to show people round and check it over. The staff were amazing all weekend and the food was outstanding from the sit down meal on Friday night to our breakfast on Sunday morning. Being able to set up the table decorations on the Friday and decorate the main room was a real plus point as took away a lot of the stress the morning of the wedding. The venue is so pretty perfect for a wedding and if you are lucky enough to be able to use the gardens they make the perfect back drop for photos plus plenty of space for children to run around.I really cannot praise this hotel and staff enough. Several months later friends and family.CPFC- Mar 20
This hotel is a wonderful gem for those looking for a relaxed, less formal environment in beautiful surroundings. What makes it even more special are the members of staff who really can't do enough to make your stay personal and pleasant. The facilities are straightforward and comfortable, the cuisine excellent and the price very well positioned.Phil T - Nov 18

Great food, delicious dinner and breakfast.
We would highly recommend.
I can't think of a thing that could be improved - the Lodge is as cozy and warm as you could wish for at Xmas, the food is superb ( the vegetarian food was excellent ), the rooms beautifully put together and most of all, the staff are not only professional, but also kind and warmMarion B Kelly Dec 17
